Biography
Mahogany Hanks is a first year Master’s student at The University of Texas School of Public Health where she is pursuing a major in Health Services Organization. After a life changing experience of losing her father to cancer, she was inspired to pursue a career in Public Health. Currently, she is a graduate research assistant for the Health Center for Health Promotion and Prevention Research. She is participating in projects addressing young adult Testicular cancer and Sickle Cell Anemia. Mahogany received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Spelman College in 2012. She will intern at the Health Resources and Services Administration branch of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
