Biography
Aseante Hylick is a dual degree graduate student in the Social Work Program at The University of Texas at Austin and Masters of Divinity Program at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. Her focus is leveraging the influence of faith based organizations and community leadership to address issues of mental health, restorative reform, and social justice in vulnerable populations. She has over twelve years of experience in creating or implementing civic platforms such as summer mentoring programs, non-profit social media campaigns, program fundraising, and citywide health awareness events. Aseante is currently a director of programing for a local non-profit that services four high-needs zip codes in the area.
