Biography
Ashlee Peña is pursuing a master’s degree in education policy and planning at The University of Texas at Austin. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and history from Trinity University in San Antonio and a doctor of jurisprudence from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio. Since law school, Ashlee has worked as a legislative aide on public education in the Texas Senate, advocated on behalf of Social Security Disability Insurance recipients, and started a private law firm. Ashlee enjoys mentoring and volunteering within the community and is passionate about improving access to equal and adequate educational opportunities for all.
