Jorge Villarreal is a Public Administration graduate student at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). A Harlingen native, he received his B.A. in Political Science from UTSA in 2012. During his time in the Alamo City, he has amassed a bevy of political experience on board successful local, state, and federal political campaigns, as well as organizing alongside Public Citizen to pass a campus-wide environmental surcharge that has since raised nearly $400,000 annually for student-centered sustainability initiatives. Currently, he serves as a Business Research Analyst with SBDCNet, a partnership between UTSA and the Small Business Administration. Additionally, he serves on the board of local civic engagement nonprofit, MOVE San Antonio.
