Biography

Jack Porter Jr. is pursuing his master's degree in education policy with an emphasis in higher education policy, at The University of Texas at Arlington. As the Graduate Assistant to the Director of Student Planning, Assessment, and Success, Porter primarily worked on the University's new first year experience program. He was also founder and President of Malala's Mavericks, a student-led local chapter of the Malala Fund. He is most passionate about providing access and promoting success for traditionally under-served students in higher education. As a former college pitcher, he enjoys exercising and watching sports in his spare time.
