Biography
Joaquin Villegas was born in Mexico and began his education at the South Texas High School for Health Professions in Mercedes, Texas. After graduating from Texas A&M University in College Station, Villegas attended and graduated from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Medical School. During his time in medical school, Villegas developed an interest in international medicine through his participation in the Max Kade Clinical Clerkship program in Vienna, Austria. He is currently pursuing a Master of Public at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Public Health and focuses primarily on management, policy and community health with a concentration in maternal and child health.
