Biography
Priyanka Mehta is a first-year medical student at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with minors in biochemistry and business from Rice University and an Master of Public Health in epidemiology and global health from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Public Health. Mehta is passionate about addressing the racial, gender and other socioeconomic inequities leading to ill health. After medical school, she plans to enter clinical practice, as well as use her expertise to inform the development of evidence-based health care policy. She also hopes to someday run for public office.
