Biography
Sam Almeida is a graduate student at The University of Texas at Tyler within the political science masters program. Almeida is co-founder of the Tyler Transgender Support Group (TTSG) as well as a board member and Upper North Texas Regional Co-Coordinator for the Transgender Education Network of Texas (TENT). After graduate school, Almeida plans to attend law school with hopes of working for a nonprofit serving marginalized communities in the future.
