Biography
Amanda Smith is a student at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Public Health where she is earning a master's degree in public health with a focus on health promotion and behavioral science. Smith also holds a Bachelor of Science in applied physiology health management from Southern Methodist University. Previously, she worked for the YMCA and the Texas Hunger Initiative on Community Health programs and is passionate about nutrition and food security. Smith hopes to have a career focused on improving health outcomes for underprivileged communities and achieving health equity for all.
