Biography
Karlyn Tunnell is pursuing a Doctorate of Medicine at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and a Master of Public Health at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Public Health through a dual MD/MPH program. She received her bachelor's degree in biology from Texas Christian University in 2017 and completed a year as an Americorps member with City Year Dallas before starting medical school. After graduation, Tunnell plans to enter a residency in psychiatry. She hopes to use her experience as an Archer Fellow and in public policy to advocate for and address the issue of healthcare inequality.
