Biography
Jason Castillo is pursuing a Master of Public Affairs degree at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin. He is a recent graduate of the University of Alabama (UA) with a B.A. in political science and American studies. His involvement with UA College Democrats in his undergraduate career and internship with a Democratic state senator in the 87th Texas Legislative Session cemented his desire to advocate for progressive policies that impact the lives of working people. He plans to apply this passion to a workplace that advocates for systemic change, whether this be through the empowerment of labor unions or the proposal of redistributive polices.
