Biography
Jennifer Castañeda is pursuing a Ph.D. in health psychology at The University of Texas at El Paso. Her research interests include trauma-informed care in medical settings, sexual health, and addiction. Castañeda is interested in how policies and procedures are associated with medical adherence and satisfaction. On campus, she worked as a research assistant for a research-intensive training program that is funded by the National Institutes of Health. The program trains students interested in biomedical, social, behavioral, or health sciences. In addition, Castañeda is a practicum student at the Counseling and Psychological Center as part of her graduate training.
