Biography
Julieta Rico is a M.Ed. student in the Educational Policy and Planning Program at The University of Texas at Austin. Rico's background of teaching English language arts to seventh graders in Harlingen, Texas, propelled her research interests of bilingual education, funding, tracking, and English learner student success in the context of the Rio Grande Valley. Rico plans to utilize her Archer Fellowship experience to continue her passion for equitable educational research and state and federal policymaking.
