Biography
Katalina Salas is a Ph.D. candidate in the Environmental Science and Engineering Program at The University of Texas at El Paso. Her passions include travel, providing education to her community, and addressing water issues in the Middle Rio Grande region, which led her to sit on the board of directors for La Semilla, a local non-profit in Anthony, New Mexico. After earning her Ph.D., she plans to continue exploring the world, sharing her knowledge with the community through La Semilla and teaching. She wants to foster curiosity and a sense of caring for Earth in our future leaders.
