Biography
Sheina Duncan is an M.D./M.P.H. student at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Duncan earned a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering with honors from The University of Texas at Austin. She currently serves as a class president in the UTMB School of Medicine and as the president of two organizations that uplift socioeconomically disadvantaged elementary and middle school students and homeless individuals. Duncan is passionate about addressing the social determinants of health that impact proper health care implementation for underserved populations. Her research areas include developing technological interventions to tackle multiple social needs.
