Biography
Simone Parker is a second-year graduate student at The University of Texas at Dallas. She is obtaining her master’s degree in public policy and hopes to aid in passing legislation that will affect disproportionately underserved communities. She has focused concentrations in race and ethnic studies, policy, climate change, environmental racism, and education. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in sociology and a minor in Africana studies. Following this, she worked for U.S. Representative Marc Veasey’s office and as a Congressional Black Caucus Intern.
