Emily Rubin

Emily Rubin is pursuing a doctoral degree in journalism and media at The University of Texas at Austin. Her research focuses on the digital divide and broadband infrastructure. Prior to attending UT Austin, Rubin earned a master’s degree in media arts from Long Island University, Brooklyn. Her work experience centers around the role of public and private institutions in providing broadband access and digital skills training to local communities. Upon graduation, she plans to continue her research to help develop broadband policy at the national level.
