Biography
Michael Reid, Jr., is pursuing a doctoral degree in educational policy and planning at The University of Texas at Austin. On campus, he was a graduate research assistant at the Center for Community College Student Engagement. Reid’s board research interests include income segregation, education philosophy, poverty and education policy, basic needs insecurity, and educational opportunity on P-16 levels. Specifically, he is interested in using advanced policy analysis and evaluation methods to measure the impact of anti-poverty policies and de facto segregation on the education quality and achievement of minoritized and impoverished students.
