Oluwadamilola Obalana is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. She earned a master’s degree in public health with concentrations in epidemiology and global health from Brigham Young University (BYU) and a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria. During her undergraduate studies, she held leadership roles in organizations including the Elite Explorer Research Club and the St. George Charity Foundation. As a graduate student at BYU, she served as a research and teaching assistant, contributed to research projects, presented at conferences such as the American Public Health Association, and supported program evaluation efforts for community-based organizations, including United Way. She also served as a board member of the Utah Chapter of the Society for Public Health Education and the Utah Global Leaders Fund. Her career interests include healthcare leadership, maternal and child health, public-private partnerships, and nonprofit development to improve healthcare affordability and access in underserved communities.
