A senior at the University of Texas at Austin, Khaled is majoring in Government, Philosophy and International Relations. His academic interests lie in the fields of international law, human rights and peace and conflict studies. He is an active member of the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-law fraternity on campus, which will help him prepare for law school. In the past year, Khaled traveled with Global Youth Connect to Rawanda, where he participated in human rights workshops and a local NGO on land reform laws. He took part in a UT summer course on U.S-China relations at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. Most recently, he was a camp counselor at Seeds of Peace in Maine, an international peace camp which facilitates constructive engagement of conflict issues between young Palestinians and Israelis. Khaled will be interning for the United Nations Information Center, conducting research on domestic and international policy.
