Rachel is a junior at the University of Texas at Austin. She is pursuing a dual degree in Business-Management and Government with an interdisciplinary certificate in Ethics and Leadership of Social Justice, Politics, and Law through the Bridging Discipline Program. While at UT Austin, she has participated on the Leadership-Connections team at the Baptist Student Ministries (BSM) by coordinating Free Lunch On Wednesdays (FLOW) for college students. Additionally, while mentoring UT’s freshman through the First-Year Interest Group program (FIG) she discovered a passion and love for education. She also she interned for Congressman Lloyd Doggett’s district office this past spring. This fall she will be pursuing her interest in educational policy by interning with the U.S. Department of Education with the Office of the Deputy Secretary.
