Biography
Karen Arenas is a senior at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) working towards a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Legal Reasoning. She is currently a student in the Law School Preparation Institute (LSPI) at UTEP. Karen received the award for “Top Advocate” and a partial tuition waiver for law school at the first Mock Trial Competition sponsored by John Marshall Law School. Karen is a member of Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society and of Amnesty International. She is a guardian ad litem for the Court Appointed Special Advocates for the 65th District Court in El Paso, Texas. Karen plans to begin law school fall of 2012. She will intern with the American Bar Association in the Individual Rights and Responsibility section.
