Kayla Klein is a junior at the University of Texas at Dallas, where she is double majoring in Neuroscience and Biology. At UT Dallas she researches in the Think Lab, a development psychology lab that focuses on children’s cognitive development. She has been very active in UT Dallas Student Government, serving as Academic Affairs Chair in 2011-2012. She also serves as the Student Representative to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board Financial Aid Committee, which works with the state of Texas education centers to develop strategies to improve financial aid for students in higher education. Kayla is particularly interested in health and education, and hopes to learn more about the policies that affect these areas during her time in Washington, D.C. In her spare time, she enjoys running half marathons, visiting her home in Austin, TX, and tie dying.
