Megan Simons is currently pursing double degrees in Criminology and Psychology at the University of Texas at Dallas. She is pursuing Collegium V honors and has been inducted into both the Alpha Phi Sigma and Delta Epsilon Iota honors societies. Her primary areas of interest include constitutional interpretation and analysis and civil rights education. After graduation Megan plans on pursuing her Master of Arts in Criminology before heading to law school. Over the past year, Megan has had the wonderful opportunity to aid the Innocence Project of Texas in their work securing the exoneration of innocent inmates, which has taught her much about the legal system and sentencing process. In her spare time, Megan performs and studies improvisation with her university theater department. During her time in D.C. Megan hopes to take on an internship related to legal issues and justice.
