A graduating senior at The University of Texas at San Antonio, Ana Diaz is an Honors pre-medical student majoring in Finance with a minor in Biology. While at UTSA, she completed an undergraduate research thesis on type II diabetes and has held multiple leadership positions, including that of Supplemental Instruction Leader for General Chemistry I & II and coordinator for the Journal & Article Book Club, where she lead discussions on public health care issues in medicine. Ana's ultimate career goal is to establish her own primary care clinic where she can offer high quality and affordable care to the underprivileged in her community. She has a strong interest in health care policy and reform and will be interning with the Alliance for Health Reform.
