Asha Sharma is currently a University of Texas at Arlington senior with a major in political science and a minor in geology. She has spent her undergraduate career pursuing her passion for healthcare and environmental policy, completing internships at Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson's district office and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as a public policy intern. These internships, along with her work as an environmental journalist for UTA's newspaper, The Shorthorn; participation in UTA's Pre-Law Mentor Program; and academic experiences solidified her professional interests and led her to apply to the Archer Fellowship Program. Throughout her years at UTA, she has also worked as the medical office administrator at NexGen Oncology, a cancer treatment center, garnering a unique insight into the medical field applicable to many areas of public policy.
