Brenda Carrillo is a graduating senior at The University of Texas at Austin where she is pursing a degree with Departmental Honors in Government, a minor in Spanish, along with an additional 24 hours towards the Business Foundations Program (with 15 hours completed through the Halliburton Business Foundations Summer Institute of 2013). While on campus she has been a part of the Hispanic Business Student Association, Minority Women Pursuing Law, and worked for the Texas Can Academy where she mentored and coached minority students towards receiving a high school diploma. She intends to one day make a career of her passion of fighting for human rights and pursue Immigration Law. While in D.C., this Fall, Brenda she will be interning with Legal Aid Society.
