Holly Heinrich is a senior at The University of Texas at Austin. She plans to pursue a career in journalism, policy, or law. Holly has reported on energy, technology, and the environment as an intern for StateImpact Texas, and has written about Texas politics and policy as an intern for the Texas Tribune. In addition, she has interned at Texas Monthly, and has been published in that magazine. Holly has also interned four times at the Texas Capitol. At UT Austin, she has served as State Governmental Relations Director for Student Government, and a weekly political columnist for the Daily Texan. Holly is a Government major, with a minor in Communication and a certificate in Media, Ethics, & Public Policy. She is Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude, and a Distinguished Scholar in the UT College of Liberal Arts. This year, Holly completed her honors thesis on the Texas water crisis. She also wrote an article on Texas water policy that received an award from the Texas First Foundation.
