Jordan Metoyer is a senior at The University of Texas at Austin where she is pursuing a double major in Economics and Urban Studies. Throughout college, Jordan volunteered at public housing sites in California and Texas as a Bernard and Audre Rapoport Service Scholar, and in her junior year, launched a student-led, student-driven City Relations Task Force. In addition, Jordan traveled to Accra, Ghana where she consulted a youth development NGO, and Beijing, China where she taught English at a school for migrant children. This past year, Jordan implemented student initiatives as Chief of Staff for Student Government, advocated for higher education policy through the Invest in Texas campaign, served as an active member of Orange Jackets, and was awarded a 2013 Harry S. Truman scholarship.
