Kaitlyn Clark is a junior at The University of Texas at Austin pursuing a degree in Political Communication. She has held leadership positions within Communication Council, a student organization that acts as the liason between College of Communication students and the faculty and deans. Most recently, Kaitlyn had the opportunity to intern twice for State Representative Mark Strama, including time in the 83rd Legislative Session. Her work there encompassed all of her major policy interests: improving the foster care system in Texas, enhancing female empowerment programs across the country, and increasing the rigor of public education while retaining the most students. While in that office, she was also the primary staffer on a bill designed to promote live music in Texas. Kaitlyn is looking forward to interning in the office of U.S. Congressman Joaquin Castro (D-TX).
