Katie Hodge is a senior Social Studies Composite major at The University of Texas Pan-American. Her major combines the study of international History, Political Science, and Economics, and she has completed minors in English and Business Administration. While an active participant in various on-campus activities, she is most proud of her community involvement in the Rio Grande Valley, her work with the UTPA Office of Residence Life, term as President of the French Club, time spent studying French at the University of Paris-Sorbonne, internship at the Chateau de Challain in the Loire Valley of France, and membership in the Residence Life Mentorship Program. During her undergraduate career, Katie has gained an interest in Student Development Theory while studying social diversity in higher education. After graduation in December, she plans to pursue a Masters degree in International Education with the intention of fusing her passions for cultural tourism, international affairs, and student development into a career in higher education. She will intern this semester with the American Council of Young Political Leaders.
