Margaret Wellik is a junior in The University of Texas at Austin’s Plan II Honors Program. She is also pursuing a certificate in Social Entrepreneurship & Non-profits with a focus on food ethics. Prior to enrolling at UT Austin, Margaret dedicated a year of service to the AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps program. At UT Austin, Margaret has worked to establish the UT Micro Farm, a student-run farm that not only provides community members with fresh produce but also serves as the site of interdisciplinary student research projects. As an intern for Orr Associates, Inc., a premier consulting firm to the nonprofit industry, Margaret will pursue a deeper understanding of the symbiotic relationship between the public and private sector.
