Morgan Williams is a senior at The University of Texas at Austin where she is a Broadcast Journalism major with a minor in English. Passionate about politics from a young age, Morgan is pursuing a career in political journalism and hopes to one day be a producer for a major news network. She has held multiple internships while at UT Austin including working as a news intern for the Austin NBC-affiliate KXAN News and interning with the nonprofit Progress Texas during the 83rd Texas Legislative Session. Since the start of her college career, she has worked to expand her knowledge of television and journalism by working with Texas Student Media (TSM). During her three years volunteering at Texas Student Television, she has been recognized as "Rookie of the Year," "Most Dedicated News Volunteer," and been awarded first place for "Best Television Newscast" for her work as executive producer of KVR News by the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association. Morgan is excited to work in our nation's capitol where journalism and communications can truly impact political decisions and will intern at America Votes.
