Richard "Ricky" Hand is a senior at The University of Texas at Austin where he is pursuing a degree in Government with a minor in Philosophy. On campus, Ricky is an active member of the Texas Cowboys and while at UT Austin Ricky has been involved in both the Austin community, as well as his community back home in Tyler, Texas. In Tyler, Ricky worked as a campaign assistant and social media coordinator for the Reginald Wilson for Constable Campaign, while simultaneously interning on the Lloyd Doggett for Congress Campaign in Austin. Also during the election cycle, Ricky started a lecture series on the importance of voting, which with the help of some of his fellow Longhorns, was delivered to several Boys and Girls Clubs around Central Texas. In his spare time Ricky enjoys golfing, hanging out with friends, or participating in various Texas Cowboys events. This semester, Ricky is interning at DC School Reform Now.
