Biography
Alejandro is a Mexican National; his interests lie in the foreign relations between the United Mexican States and the United States of America. He studies public administration and political science at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Recently, he was awarded the 2014 Elie Wiesel Foundation Prize in Ethics for his essay, ‘Exploring the Ethics of National Loyalty: The New Compromiso – Mexican Students Abroad in the U.S.,” in which he contextualizes the sociopolitical status of Mexico. During the fall, Alejandro will work as the Mexico and Border Program intern at the Washington Office on Latin America.
