Biography

Scott Hickle is a fourth-year student in the Mechanical Engineering Honors Department at the University of Texas at Austin. His chief policy interests are energy, innovation and climate change. He is enthusiastic to be interning for the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology this fall, where he will gain firsthand insight into relevant legislative processes. Upon graduation from UT Austin, Scott hopes to work for an engineering firm before pursuing either further education. Long term, he aspires to become an entrepreneur and inventor in energy technologies, as well as a liaison between the worlds of technology and policy.
