Biography
Sophia Anwar is a graduating senior double majoring in Asian cultures & languages and government at The University of Texas at Austin. Sophia spent her Fall 2013 semester studying abroad at The National University of Singapore, where she studied the effects of US soft power in Southeast Asia. She enjoyed the vibrant culture as she travelled to over 7 countries in the region. Through the Hindi Urdu Flagship Program, Sophia has become proficient in reading and writing in both Hindi and Urdu. Passionate about foreign policy issues within South Asia, Sophia has aspirations to work at The Department of State.
