Biography
Melissa Flores is a senior at The University of Texas at Austin majoring in urban studies and economics. She is a Terry Scholar and Austin City Hall Fellow. Melissa’s interest in sustainability began with a passion for ocean conservation. Determined to reduce global carbon emissions, she shifted her focus to the built environment. To learn more about urban development, Melissa spent the past summer working in Singapore and traveling across Southeast Asia. She plans to pursue a career in environmental policy and urban planning.
