Ashton Sauseda is a junior at The University of Texas at Austin where she is majoring in history with a minor in government. She is also earning certificates in Human Rights & Social Justice through the Bridging Disciplines Program, as well as a Business certificate. Ashton has served as an intern for the Sergeant-at-Arms at the Texas Capitol, for Representative Donna Howard, and as a legal research assistant for Annie’s List. She serves as the Director of Membership for Texas THON, Co-Outreach Officer for Girl Up and is a member of Minority Women Pursuing Law. After graduation, she plans to attend law school and pursue a career in policymaking. Ashton is grateful to her family for always being supportive and for being her inspiration in all that she does.
