Biography
Jori Kandra is a third-year chemistry and economics major at The University of Texas at Austin. Since entering university, Jori has been committed to finding alternative ways of production that lower carbon emissions. Jori has worked with Dr. Graeme Henkleman to research nanoparticles for catalysis in Li-Air Batteries, and is currently working with Dr. Michael Rose on research about the use of nitrogenase to replace industrial nitrogen fixation. Jori is passionately committed to advocating for science and funding of scientific research which is fundamental for creating a more sustainable society. Jori plans to pursue a master’s degree in public policy, and a PhD in chemistry and economics.
