Biography

Michael Bloom is a senior chemical engineering student at The University of Texas at Austin. He previously interned in project management at RigNet’s Systems Integration and Automation division and designing reverse osmosis water treatment systems at Suez. His research involves developing foams to reduce the amount of water necessary for fracking applications. He looks forward to gaining experience in energy policy while in Washington, D.C. Upon graduation, he plans to enter industry as a chemical engineer.
