Biography
Omar Farid is a senior at The University of Texas at Austin majoring in government with a minor in communication studies. At the age of 17, Omar came to the United States from Cairo, Egypt to attend UT Austin. On campus, Omar worked as a Resident Assistant in the Division of Housing. He has also interned for Texas State Senator José Rodríguez in addition to the International Capital Markets division at Allen & Overy, a British law firm in Dubai. Omar will receive his degree this fall, and plans to pursue a law degree thereafter. He plans to become a practicing attorney and maybe one day pursue a political career in Egypt.
