CollationKira Kirby is a Plan II Honors student at the University of Texas at Austin. She completed her first professional internship during her junior year of high school, when she interned for U.S. Congresswoman Krysten Sinema (AZ-9) in her Washington, D.C. office. Kirby developed a passion for international relations and true appreciation for diverse cultures during her service work in Peru, travels in Morocco, and international business coursework in Barcelona. As a resident of two border states, Arizona and Texas, Kirby has developed a personal interest in the success of the NAFTA and international trade in general. She interned this past summer at the Arizona Chamber of Commerce, where she assisted with the Chamber’s launch of a new statewide business communication platform and conducted research on business and trade issues, including the status of NAFTA renegotiations and current tariff impacts on the Arizona economy. Upon graduation, Kirby plans to pursue degrees in international business and law.
