Biography
Maria Victoria Alonso, born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, is an honors student at The University of Texas at San Antonio studying politics and law. Her brother Andy, who has autism, ignited her initiative to find justice and become an advocate on behalf of others. Her passion to serve others has led her to propose the first gated and supervised skateboard park in the San Antonio 2017 bond, host human trafficking awareness events, and work at the office of Councilman Greg Brockhouse’s (TXSA-6) to assist constituents. She plans to be a civil and human rights attorney. At UTSA, her favorite involvements are UTSA Ambassadors and Chi Alpha Christian Ministry.
