Biography
Bhaargavi Ashok is a junior at The University of Texas at Austin majoring in chemical engineering. For the past two years, she has worked as an undergraduate researcher in a biomaterials laboratory to understand the interplay between materials science and drug delivery. This past summer, she received an NSF-funded award to conduct research at the Johns Hopkins Institute of NanoBioTechnology. At UT Austin, she is also a member of the Student Engineering Council and a tutor in the chemical engineering department. Upon graduation, Ashok hopes to pursue an MD/PhD and later use her expertise to influence medical research policy.
