Alexandra Smith-Macias

Alexandra Smith-Macias is a senior at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley pursing a degree in political science with a minor in legal studies. On campus, she has served as chair of the Senate and vice president of the Student Government Association, a Peer Body Facilitator for the Body Project, and as founder and president of the Civic Engagement Alliance. Off campus, she has represented UTRGV as a Texas Civic Ambassador with the Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Life at The University of Texas at Austin and as a member of the UT System Student Advisory Council. In the future, Smith-Macias plans to attend law school.
