Biography

Aiza Shah is a junior at The University of Texas at Austin double majoring in sociology and humanities. She is passionate about exploring public policy and the law and how these can be used to uplift underserved communities. In previous years, Shah served as a writing intern with the media non-profit Law at the Margins and as a judicial intern with the 126th Civil District Court of Texas. During her sophomore year, Shah served a term in the Disability and Inclusion Agency of student government, advocating for students with disabilities on campus. She has been involved with campus organizations such as Minority Women Pursuing Law, Texas Spirits, and the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Research Lab. After graduation, Shah plans to attend law school and pursue a career in the field of public interest.
