Biography
Maryann “Mimi” Martinez Okhuysen is a junior at The University of Texas at Austin double majoring in government and sustainability with minors in entrepreneurship and geography. On campus, Martinez Okhuysen has been actively involved in the Liberal Arts Honors Program, moot court, and the Central Texas Model United Nations team. She has also worked as a museum docent at the Harry Ransom Center and assisted with an ongoing research project to assess women’s role within Inca society. After graduation, she hopes to attend law school and pursue a career in environmental and social justice.
