Biography
Rutendo Chando is a junior at The University of Texas at Dallas majoring in history with a minor in political science and certificate in education. On campus, Chando has been involved in student government as the student body vice president and founded her own organization called the Immigrant Rights Coalition. Over the summer she interned for Breakthrough Collaborative as a teaching fellow to help close the achievement gap for low-income students. After graduation, Chando plans to attend graduate school to study public policy with a focus on education.
