Biography
American Public Health AssociationThomas Dang is a junior at The University of Texas at Austin double majoring in health and society and neuroscience with a minor in healthcare innovation and reform. He has been deeply interested in mental health since high school and hopes to use education as an avenue to support students' mental health. Dang is a recipient of UT Austin's President's Award for Global Learning, where he has transformed research on students' mental health during the COVID-19 era into policy recommendations for university and local leaders. Ultimately, Dang hopes to study neurology in medical school and apply those skills to make informed policy recommendations to support students' mental health.
